Food was not as good as other 5 star European hotels, lacked variety and sometimes quality. It was a bit cold too. Staff superb, service excellent, beautiful deco, very clean. Very impressed. Sea premium view rom didn't have a bath as pictured on their website. Lack of clothes hanging rail to dry beach clothes. |

Having stayed at both, we love what La Pirogue and Sugar Beach offer as a pair of hotels. It’s great to have such a long stretch of beachfront, the grounds are so green and peaceful, and three different pools and all of the different bars and restaurants provide lots of variety. Gym and spa are worth visiting. Water activities are excellent. The staff are FANTASTIC across both hotel sites.
Main differences for us were 1. Sugar Beach rooms are bigger and feel more luxurious and 2. the food and ambience at the buffet restaurant at SB felt like a bit of an upgrade on the buffet experience at LP (which was still good!).
We would be delighted to return to either hotel in the future. |

the sea view room we had booked was not what we were given unless you can call a sea view room one that you can just see a small bit of the sea from one spot. |

The hotel and its grounds are stunning laid out in a plantation style. Booking the 2 restaurants however needs some improvement as you need to give plenty of notice although often when you are there, many tables remain empty. We saw people actually booking with the restaurant manager directly which is not made common knowledge. |

Sugar Beach is a fantastic resort hotel which has the added benefit of sharing equally fantastic facilities oef its sister hotel La Piroque immediately next door.
Sugar Beach has great staff, beautiful grounds, stunning food and drink and is completely relaxing. We married at the hotel and it was handled in a completely professional, caring and competent way with nothing left to chance or overlooked. The hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel as if we were the only ones that mattered - fantastic. |

A beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was if a good standard and there was a large selection. The evening meals booked in the tides restaurant offered 5 star food on the beach- perfect! |
