A stunning hotel with a prime location in the centre of Cuzco and just a stone's throw away from the central square - Plaza de Armas. There are lots of interesting things to see and do nearby like a visit to Cuzco’s cathedral or a stroll around the main market of San Pedro to pick up some locally made souvenirs and handicrafts. You will be spoilt for choice with all the cafes, bars and restaurants surrounding you and giving you the opportunity to sample some delicious local cuisine like the classic Peruvian ceviche washed down with a famous Pisco Sour. Of course, a trip to Peru would not be complete without a visit to the incredible Incan site of Machu Picchu which is easily accessible by train. There are lots of other great archaeological sites to visit too if history is your thing like the ruins in Sacred Valley, Pisac and Sacsayhuaman.

The hotel itself is a stunning colonial-style property, constructed from a former monastery dating back to 1592. The decor at Belmond Monasterio is a combination of luxury and character working together in perfect harmony. The colours used are rich and warm and throughout the property, you will be able to observe their extensive art collection and original antiques, which create an enchanting atmosphere. There are 122 rooms and suites and each one is as perfect as the next. The luxury marble bathrooms, crisp white linen sheets, dark wooden furniture and charming art and antiques really add to the elegance of the property.  All rooms come with a private terrace, patio or balcony. They are fully equipped with everything you will need like free WIFI, TV, phone, safe and room service.

Facilities at the property are extensive and you will have everything you need during your stay at Belmond Monasterio. The staff at the property offer first-class service and there is even a butler service available to you. The reception is open 24 hours and here they can help you with all aspects of your stay including concierge services, money exchange and booking local tours and attractions. The symmetrical central courtyard is a stunning space to relax surrounded by lush green gardens and original stone architecture. For those on business the meeting rooms will be a welcome facility and for those looking for something more spiritual will be interested to learn there the San Antonio Abad Chapel is available for business functions, events and weddings. The hotel offers lots of activities within the grounds like art tours, cooking classes and Pisco lessons to really get you acquainted with the fascinating Peruvian history and culture. Spa services, beauty treatments and massages are also a fantastic extra for those looking to unwind and relax. There are 2 restaurants on-site each serving up exquisite menus, specialising in fusion cuisine. Illariy which sits alongside the beautiful courtyard is open for breakfast and lunch and offers both Peruvian and international dishes with a Mediterranean touch. In contrast, El Tupay is open for dinner and here you can enjoy mouthwatering dishes cooked by renowned chefs using high-quality local ingredients. It offers you a romantic and intimate setting and a few nights a week you have the chance to enjoy live music. Those looking for just a drink can relax with an after-dinner drink here or at the Lobby Bar and reflect on their day with family and friends.
