A stunning hotel with a prime location in the centre of Cuzco and just a stone's throw away from the central square - Plaza de Armas. There are lots of interesting things to see and do nearby like a visit to Cuzco’s cathedral or a stroll around the main market of San Pedro to pick up some locally made souvenirs and handicrafts. You will be spoilt for choice with all the cafes, bars and restaurants surrounding you and giving you the opportunity to sample some delicious local cuisine like the classic Peruvian ceviche washed down with a famous Pisco Sour. Of course, a trip to Peru would not be complete without a visit to the incredible Incan site of Machu Picchu which is easily accessible by train. There are lots of other great archaeological sites to visit too if history is your thing like the ruins in Sacred Valley, Pisac and Sacsayhuaman.

The hotel itself is a stunning colonial-style property, constructed from a former monastery dating back to 1592. The decor at Belmond Monasterio is a combination of luxury and character working together in perfect harmony. Spa services, beauty treatments and massages are also a fantastic extra for those looking to unwind and relax. There are 2 restaurants on-site each serving up exquisite menus, specialising in fusion cuisine. Illariy which sits alongside the beautiful courtyard is open for breakfast and lunch and offers both Peruvian and international dishes with a Mediterranean touch. In contrast, El Tupay is open for dinner and here you can enjoy mouthwatering dishes cooked by renowned chefs using high-quality local ingredients. It offers you a romantic and intimate setting and a few nights a week you have the chance to enjoy live music. Is my booking protected?
Yes – If you book flights and hotels with us then you are fully protected under the ATOL scheme. If you buy hotels without flights then ATOL does not apply (as ATOL only applies to package holidays) but we take out supplier failure insurance on your behalf in case any of the travel providers go bust.
