This contemporary hotel has an enviable location for both holidaymakers and people on business in the historical centre of Cuzco. It is just a stone’s throw away from the main square of Plaza de Armas and Qorikancha- the famous Sun Temple. This area has lots to keep visitors entertained whether it be trying the local Peruvian delicacies at the many cafes, restaurants and bars or picking up some traditional handicrafts and practicing their Spanish at the nearby markets, with San Pedro market being the largest in the neighbourhood. The train station is less than a km away and from there you can take the journey up to the world famous Incan site of Machu Picchu!

The modern hotel is classically decorated to ensure you a warm and welcoming stay. There are 120 rooms each furnished with elegant decor and equipped with free WIFI, safety deposit box, mini bar, cable TV and room service. Very nice hotel but had couple of issues thus good/very good scores. We had a suite with living area downstairs with bathroom and bedroom up wooden stairs. Stairs bit steep and slippy and not the easiest getting up through night to go downstairs to bathroom. One morning unable to shower as it was freezing. Problem sorted by the evening when we returned from touring but another resident had no hot water for three days. This hotel and staff was lively and these issues only had s small impact on our holiday. We were there for two nights. The hotel was Sonesta Posadas del Inca We stayed in different hotels, in Lima we stayed in Dazzler hotel nice room and restaurant food good. At Machu Piccu we stayed in El Mapi by Inkaterra. Beautiful room and hotel, central. In Cusco we were upgraded to Palacio del Inka and had a classic king room. Fabulous hotel, restaurant and bedroom could definitely tell it was 5 star quality. Also used spa facilities which I’d recommend.
